Au Courant is a trio of baroque violin, viola da gamba and harpsicord. Each of its members is an acclompished soloist, and all three have ties to the renowned Oberlin Conservatory of Music in the US. The concert takes place in the magnificent setting of the Banqueting Hall in the castle. The programme ranges from a set of Renaissance pieces in improvisatory style through avant-garde early 17th century Italian Violin music, French baroque music by Marin Marais, and trios by Buxtehude and Telemann.
